The Great Debate: Can Science Tell Us Right From Wrong?

Saturday, November 6

7 pm

ASU Gammage Auditorium

Close to 2000 people packed Gammage Auditorium on November 6 to hear a distinguished panel of scientists and philosophers discuss whether recent advances in neuroscience and evolutionary theory have transformed the way we think about morality.  Moderated by Roger Bingham of The Science Network, panelists Sam Harris, Simon Blackburn, Patricia Churchland, Lawrence Krauss, and Steven Pinker provided brief statements on their positions and then fielded questions from the audience. The day before, Harris, Blackburn, Krauss, and Pinker joined Ira Flatow on NPR's Science Friday.
